Enterprise Rescue | Application Process
Application Requirements: Effective October 1, 2026, applications for ground and flight positions must provide and complete the following before ERI will accept an application.
- A certificate documenting completion of the classroom portion of an Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC), or an accepted equivalent.
- A current physical completed by the applicant’s physician using the physical form provided by ERI.
These requirements apply regardless of how an applicant begins the application process. Applicants will be responsible for obtaining and submitting both items; an application missing either required document will not be accepted for review. The online application linked in each position below includes a place to upload these and other documents.
Part-Time Availability Policy
This policy is intended to improve schedule reliability, reduce overtime expenses, maintain adequate ambulance staffing, and ensure fair scheduling opportunities among all part-time personnel. Note, this policy applies only to ground ambulance personnel, not flight or wheelchair applicants.
- Part-time employees are required to submit a minimum of 36 hours of weekday availability each month, AND 36 hours of weekend availability each month. Weekend availability begins at 18:00 on Friday.
- Availability for the following month’s schedule must be submitted no later than the 15th day of the current month (Ex: Availability for the August schedule must be submitted no later than July 15).
- Submission of availability does not guarantee an employee will be scheduled for all available hours submitted.
- Employees may not add availability after the monthly schedule has been published without prior approval from the Operations Director or their designee.
- Employees who are on approved leave, military leave, Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), or other management-approved absences may be exempt from this policy during the approved leave period.
In addition to these requirements, ERI will also designate both interview and onboarding periods for each month, rather than arranging individual interviews and onboarding on an ad hoc basis. Once an applicant has entered the application process, these details will be communicated, and times will be scheduled accordingly within the predetermined days available.
